The weather won the final match of a great Mogador season. After losing the toss we batted first with Furns (5) first out, LBW to Josh Pickering. Staverley & Abbo put on 40 for the second wicket with Darrell (19) cover driving with abandon before hooking one ball to square leg. When Stavros (20) was out LBW to Grant Waller, the Mogs were teetering at 56 for 3, but Toby Briggs & Hewitt put on 53 before Toby (28) was caught at deep mid off off Waller. Hewitt continued his good form and despite Golden Brown retiring hurt (5), Tharpy (14) and the skipper put on 66 before Tharpy lost his off stump, as did Joseph (0) in the same over. The rain intensified and Hewitt (80*) and Rice (0*) joined their teammates and supporters in the pavilion where we polished off the Black Velvet and reminisced a tremendous season.
