The Mogs made it two in a row on a cold Spring afternoon. Playing a 40 overs match, Hewitt lost the toss but the Mogs were asked to bat first and Tharp & Furner got things off to a brisk start before Tharp skied one to mid off. Hewitt went in next and put on 70 with Furns (45) before also skying one to mid off for a run a ball 48. Lee was dismissed cheaply but Honeyfield (47) ensured we posted a decent total of 218 for 9 with Lewis M (21) also contributing significantly.
After a fine tea, the Mogs confidently took to the field of play and "Pilau" Rice soon struck courtesy of a good catch at 2nd slip by Honeyfield. Against expectations Tadworth then put on 110 for the 2nd wicket with all of the bowlers struggling except for Abbott who bowled an excellent 7 over spell, which ensured the hosts were always just behind the run rate. It was again down to Honeyfield to turn the match in our favour, bowling Hemmings for 50 and when Robinson (44) was run out via Tharp & Parker, the tide turned in our favour. Rice & Lewis M came on for 2nd spells and the Mogs completed a 30 run victory.
